Experiencing Heaven – “A True Story of a Boy’s Journey”
What does heaven mean to you? When you think about heaven, what comes to mind first? a place where Christians go to sing, or you do not give much thought to it at all. Well, I tell you something: heaven is real, and so is hell. Jesus spoke about heaven so many times in the Bible. If it weren’t, Christ wouldn’t have referenced it as often as he did.
So, as you walk on Earth, consider where you’ll be spending eternity after your life on Earth is over. God created you so that you can reign with Him in eternity. He did not send you here to waste your time, but rather to accompany you on your journey. Your earthly journey ends when you make it to eternity with the Father.
You are on a journey from here to a better place. When somebody dies, the person’s life does not end here, and neither does the person’s soul remain in the grave. Friends and family members would mourn the loss of a loved one, but the truth is, the soul of the departed would have gone to heaven to be with the Lord if they’d given their lives to Christ and served God while they were on earth. If the person, on the other hand, lived a life that was not worthy of God, according to the Bible, their portion is eternal damnation, which is hell.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. John 11:25
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Mathew 5:11-12
Jesus talked about life after death and heaven, as shown in the verses of scripture above.
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. Mathew 19:21
Dearly Beloved, there is only one way that leads to heaven, and it is found in Christ Jesus. Fear the Lord and serve him because there is a day of reckoning on which you will give an account of the life you lived while you were on earth. If you do want to reign with God in eternity, then turn to Christ and shun sin.
Heaven is a beautiful place that guarantees rest. It is far better than the life we have on earth. However, the way to get there is through believing in the name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who, if you accept him into your life, will help you live your life on earth in righteousness and holiness, as is the case with the Father.
So, Jesus becomes your righteousness; his blood covers your sin so that when the Father looks upon you, the blood of Jesus makes you acceptable to him. God does not want to see you condemned forever because of your sin. He doesn’t want you to suffer for what Christ has already paid for. God wants you to reign with Him in glory, and the only way is through Jesus.
God is holy; his eyes are too pure to behold iniquity, the Bible teaches. So if you choose to continue living in sin, then you will miss heaven. If you miss God, the only option left for you is hell. There’s nothing between them; if there were, Jesus would have told us. Even if so many people do not like hearing about hell, we must teach it so that everyone who has ears to hear will turn to the Lord for the salvation of their soul.
Some people just want to hear that God is so loving that he will not send his children to hell. Well, that’s not true, because Jesus himself made reference to hell in the Bible as a place of eternal suffering where the people there would weep and gnash their teeth and regret ever being there. They would seek a second chance and wish they had made better decisions during their time on earth. Think about these things and seek God, because heaven is real.
So, therefore, I want you to think about your life. You must examine your ways and avoid sin; you must abandon a lifestyle that does not bring glory to God and begin to live your life in a way that will earn God’s praise. Turn away from Satan and decide to follow Jesus. Let go of worldly pleasure and choose to serve God acceptably. God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth.
God is love too, which is why he got you to read this message in the hope that you will have a change of heart because He doesn’t want you to continue to sin. This is why today the Lord is laying it on your heart that you should consider your ways and return to him because he’s ready to receive you into His kingdom if you will obey his voice.
The voice of the Lord is near, and as a sinner, you are constantly being nudged to turn from your sin and serve the living God. That is His voice for you, reminding you all the time that you must live a righteous life. Now, your decision here will determine whether or not you spend the rest of your life in heaven. Where you’re going, there is no second chance. Accepting Jesus today will secure your future because life without Him is unpleasant. Anyone with ears to hear should pay attention to what the Lord’s Spirit is saying (Revelation 3:22) at the entrance to their hearts and turn from their sins.
Obedience is your first step towards entering heaven. It takes a meek heart to receive the word of God. Our God is not forceful. He gave you a mind and a will to make your own decisions, but He wishes that you would trust and obey Him. Are you ready to surrender your life to Christ? If yes, say this prayer after me and mean it.

I wished I had never returned to this world after that day’s encounter with the Lord. God, however, is aware of the reasons behind giving each person a unique encounter with Him.
